FACTS THAT MANY RELIGIOUS PEOPLE DON'T KNOW

1. Faith only, will not save you (Jas. 2:24; Matt. 7:21-23).
2. Jesus did not establish denominational churches (Matt. 16:18; Eph. 4:4).
3. Being religious is not the same as being saved (Rom. 10:1-3; Matt. 15:7-9).
4. Religious leaders are to be tested (I Jn. 4:1; Gal. 1:6-9).
5. Children do not inherit sin (Ezek. 18:20; Matt. 18:3).
6. Jesus is not coming back to set us an earthly kingdom (Jn. 18:36; Col. 1:13).
7. Just any form of worship is not acceptable to God (Jn. 4:24; Matt. 15:8,9).
8. The Bible alone is sufficient to save man (Jn. 14:6; 8:32; Jas. 1:21).
9. Spiritual gifts no longer exist (I Cor. 13:8-10).
10. The church has no right to make laws (II Jn. 9; Col. 3: 17).
11. You must have Biblical authority for everything you do (I Pet. 4: 11; II Tim. 3: 16,17).
12. You are accountable even if someone has taught you wrong (Matt. 15:4; II Tim. 2:15).
13. Baptism is for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; 22:16).
14. There is not to be a head church (Col. 1: 18; Eph. 1 :22,23).
15. All Christians are saints (I Cor. 1 :2; Phil. 1: 1).
16. All of the Bible is the inspired word of God (II Tim. 3:16).
17. The end does not justify the means (In. 6:26).
18. Christ built only one church (Matt. 16: 16; Rom. 16: 16).
19. Faith is not a feeling, it is to come from the word of God (Rom. 10:17).
20. The church takes up its collection, only on the first day of the week (I Cor. 16:1,2).
21. When the gospel came, the old law was done away with (Heb. 8: 1-10).
22. The church is not a social club (I Tim. 3:15).
23. It is wrong to wear titles, such as "Father" or "Reverend" (Matt. 23:8,9).
24. All men are saved the same way (Jude 3).
25. Being sincere doesn't mean you are right (Acts 10:1,2; 11:14).
26. It is wrong to divorce someone for just any reason and then remarry (Matt. 19:9; 5:32).
27. Christians are commanded to commemorate the Lord's death, not His birth (I Cor. 11 :23-29).
28. There is no place for traditions in the church (Matt. 15:8,9).
29. It is not God approved unity to agree to disagree over doctrinal matters (I Cor. 1:10; Rom. 16:17).
30. Jesus is God (Jn. 1: 1).
31. There are no denominational Christians found in God's word - just Christians (Acts 11 :26).
32. Women preachers are forbidden by the Lord (I Tim. 2:11,12).
33. "The Rapture" is not taught in God's word.
34. Believers can be lost (Matt. 7:21-23).
35. God does not want us to be happy if it means sinning (Rom. 1 :24-32).
36. Preachers don't have to be ordained, they simply need to know God's word (II Tim. 2:15).
37. Christians can fall away and lose their soul (I Cor. 10:12; II Pet. 2:20,21).
38. There is no clergy/laity" distinction (Gal. 3 :28).
39. Man receives his calling from the Lord by hearing and obeying the gospel (II Thess. 2:14; 1:8).
40. All Christians are priests (I Pet. 2:9).
*It is our duty to study the word of God, since that is where the truth is found (Jn. 17:17)
