LAWS OF PARDON
Let us notice this first: Pardon is the right of the offended party. Pardon can only come after the guilty party meets the conditions of the offended party. Illustration: A person commits a criminal act. That person has violated a law of organized society. He or she stands guilty before the law. That person is then convicted of that crime and sentenced. Time is spent in prison. But the Wardon, based upon the time served of the prisoner, or of hearing of the prisoner's good conduct, etc., pardons the guilty convict. Note again, the Wardon of the prison does the pardoning. The prisoner might have thought that he or she was getting a pardon, but such is not true unless he gets it from the Wardon. Rumors that one is getting a pardon is not in fact pardon. Just feeling that a pardon is coming or has come does not make it a real pardon at all. We cannot pardon ourselves.
Now then, when it comes to any violation against the God of Heaven - "it is God who justifes" (Rom. 8:33). It is God only that can pardon. God has promised to pardon or wipe out our sins based upon our response to His Son Jesus Christ who paid the full price for our salvation by His shed blood and who has laid down certain conditions for us to receive that pardon. Those conditions are not touch the TV set, kneel at the altar and give the sinners prayer or other cheap responses and atempted short-cuts concocted in the mind of mere man and religious false teachers.
Here are God's two laws of pardon:
No. 1, GOD'S LAW OF PARDON TO THE ALIEN SINNER:
"He who Believes and is Baptized will be saved;...."-
Mark 16:16; "and that Repentance and remission
of sins should be preached in His name to all nations..." - Lk.
24:47.
The Conditions that the *non-Christian*
must meet to be pardoned by God is: Believe the
gospel, Repent of
sins, and be Baptized by immersion is water.
(For further confirmation see 1 Peter 3:21;
Acrs 22:16; Acts 2:38; 8:12; Acts 17:30; Rom. 10:9-10)
No.2, GOD'S LAW OF PARDON TO THE ERRING CHRISTIAN:
"Repent therefore
of this your wicknedness, and Pray God if
perhaps the thought of your heart many be forgiven you" -
Acts 8:22. "If we Confess our
sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness?
- 1 Johm 1:9
The Conditions that an *erring child of God* must meet to be
pardoned by God is:
Repent of your sins, Pray to God for forgiveness and Confess your
sins to Him.
NOTE:
These two laws are not the same. God does not want a Christian
who has been scripturally baptized once to be baptized again and
again.
However He definately calls for baptism to the alien sinner. See the following
simple chart.
| TO THE ALIEN SINNER | TO THE ERRING CHILD OF GOD |
| Believe, Repent, Confess, Be Baptized | Repent, Pray and Confess |
Dear
friend, just what Conditions do you need to meet in order to be Pardoned?
"Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are
covered;Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin" - Romans 4:7.
