Friends, what would you think about a church having everything the SAME as
the first Church of Christ that Jesus Himself built ...exactly the same as
the one that He talked about as being “My church”...“I will
build My church”- Mtt. 16:18. Is this possible? Yes!!
THE SAME NAMES (Honouring Deity)
“Churches of Christ” or “of God” - Rom. 16:16; Col.
1:18,
24; 1 Cor. 1:2
“ Christians” - Acts 11:26; 26:28; 1
Pet. 4:16.
Not “Mormon”, “Mennonite”, “Methodist”,
etc.
· THE SAME SAVING GOSPEL OR GOOD NEWS:
The Life, Death, Burial and Resurrection of Christ -
1 Cor. 15:1-3; John 12:32
The Gospel Is God’s “Power Unto Salvation” - Rom. 1:16
The Very Same unchangeable Gospel - Gal.1:6-10
· THE SAME HEAD, SAVIOUR, LORD

Jesus Christ -- Risen And Exalted To God’s Right Hand -

Christ The Only Head both in Heaven and on earth - Mtt.

· THE SAME CHURCH STRUCTURE/ORGANIZATION:
The Local Congregation of “saints” (Christians), with its
overseers and servants - Phil. 1:1; 1 Cor. 1:2;Acts 20:28.
The Local Congregation is the Largest Unit revealed in
the New Testament Scriptures; There is no Hierarchy,
Headquarters or Centralization on Earth
The “Headquarters” of the Universal church of Christ
is located in Heaven where the church’s Head is Seated -
1 Pet. 3:22; Col.1:18
· THE SAME WORSHIP:
“In Spirit and in Truth” - John 4:23-24;17:17;2
Cor. 7:1.
Individual Daily Worship - Rom. 12:1-3; James 5:13.
Congregational Worship: Praying - Acts 2:42;12:5,12;

Respecting God’s Rules about Family, Mariage, Divorce
and Remarriage -Mt.5:32;19:9;Mk.6:18; Rom.7:2-3
· THE SAME WORD OR RULE:
The Holy Spirit Revealed Word... “All Truth” - Jn.16:13;
2 Pet. 1:3; Jude 3;2 Tim.3:16-17; James 1:25; Phil.3:16
This Spirit Revealed Word Gives “Life,” Pricks Hearts,
Converts Souls - 2 Cor. 3:6; Heb. 4:12;Acts 2:37-41
· THE SAME “PRIESTHOOD”:
All Christians are “priests” unto God - 1 Pet. 2:5,9
There is only One “Mediator between God and men, the
Man Christ Jesus” - 1 Tim.2:5
There Is To Be No “Clergy” and “Laity” Classes -

The various functions of the members are not titled “offices” or “positions” -

There is “One faith” - Eph.4:4
We are to be obedient to “The Faith” - Acts 6:7
This is the Objective Faith of the Gospel...we are to have faith in the faith

· The SAME GODHEAD:
“One Lord (Jesus Christ) ...One (Holy) Spirit...One God
and Father” - Eph. 4:4-6; 1 Cor. 8:6
Jesus is “God” (Jn.1:1); The Holy Spirit is “God” (Acts
5:3; 2 Cor. 13:14; The Father is “God” - Jn.1:1; 17: 5.
There are Three Who Comprise The One State Of God.
The Same...The Same...The Same....The Same. The Very Same Church...The New Testament Church of Christ - “I will Build My Church” - Christ (Mt.16:18)
Friends, Why not belong to...become a member of the SAME church you can read about in your Bible. This just has to be the right church. Upon your Gospel Obedience, The Lord will add you to His church - and none other - Acts 2:47; Ps. 127:1
The church of Christ that meets here in Peterborough is a
humble effort to be nothing more and nothing less than a New
Testament church of Christ. We are making an effort to be
just the church you can read about in the Bible. Please consider this noble
